Grilled Salmon Steaks with Lemon-Herb Mojo

Brain Body Diet Recipe | Grilled Salmon | Sara Gottfried MD

Packed full of omega-3s, grilled salmon is a good source of healthy fat. The health benefits of omega-3s are many: they reduce our risk of heart disease, have anti-aging properties, improve mood and even help to protect our brains. The omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) protect the brain from inflammation.

In the chapter on toxins in my book, BRAIN BODY DIET I recommend those who love tuna to replace it with grilled salmon to help reduce mercury exposure.

Be generous with the Mojo Sauce. Mojo is Spanish for sauce. In addition to grilled salmon, this mojo is great on salads, roasted vegetables, chicken, or fish.
